TPO - Adding more locations and increasing the time of organization... are new points in the independent assessment exam organized by Hanoi National University of Education in 2025.
Hanoi National University of Education has just announced the latest information about the independent competency assessment exam (SPT exam) organized by the school in 2025.
Compared to 2024, the SPT exam has some new points as follows:
In 2025, the exam will be held in 4 provinces/cities: Hanoi, Nghe An, Binh Dinh and Da Nang (in 2024, it will be held in 2 localities: Hanoi and Binh Dinh).
The exam will take place over 2 days, May 17-18, 2025 (in 2024, it will take place in 1 day) with the same subjects as Math, Literature, English, Geography, History, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. The additional day allows candidates to choose many subjects from the group of subjects held. Thus, candidates can choose to take at least 1 subject and up to 6 subjects. In 2024, because the exam will only be held in 1 day, candidates can only take a maximum of 5 subjects.
The school notes that each university has different regulations on the number and combination of exam subjects to obtain exam results and consider admission to training programs. Therefore, candidates need to carefully study the admission plan of each school to register for the correct and sufficient number of exam subjects, in accordance with their admission wishes.
From 2026, the SPT exam is expected to add subjects of Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, and Technology.

Currently, there are more than 20 universities that are expected to use the SPT exam results for enrollment in 2025, including: Hanoi National University of Education, Hanoi National University of Education 2, Ho Chi Minh City National University of Education, Thai Nguyen University of Education, Hue University of Education, Da Nang University of Education, Quy Nhon University, Vinh University, Vinh University of Technical Education, Hanoi University of Construction, Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Academy of Educational Management, Vietnam Women's Academy, Academy of Ethnic Minorities, Hanoi Capital University, Tay Bac University, Hai Phong University, Ha Long University, Hoa Lu University, Hong Duc University, Tay Nguyen University, Thu Dau Mot University.
Thus, in 2025, there will be 3 pedagogical universities nationwide that will organize their own entrance exams: Hanoi Pedagogical University, Hanoi Pedagogical University 2 and Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University.
