On February 19, VietNamNet reporters noted that the points for receiving applications for issuing and exchanging driver's licenses in Ho Chi Minh City have become "easy to breathe".

The image is in contrast to the past few days when these points were always overloaded, crowded with people waiting in line to do procedures.

The health examination area of Tien Bo Traffic College is deserted.

At the hotspot for issuing and renewing driver's licenses at Tien Bo Traffic College (Tan Phu District), the areas waiting for health check-ups and receiving driver's license renewal applications only had a few people coming to do the procedures.

The rows of seats were quite empty, many chairs were stacked on top of each other outside in the yard.

A representative of Tien Bo Traffic College said that today, the school followed the instructions from the Department of Transport, so it only received 250 applications for issuing or exchanging driver's licenses with less than 15 days of validity, including in person or online on the national public service portal.

"People have updated their information so there are few people coming to do the procedures. Most of them are people whose driving licenses are close to expiring and have made appointments according to regulations," the representative informed.

Similar scene, at 252 Ly Chinh Thang, Ward 9 (District 3), from the gate to the area inside the reception and result return department (under the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City) there were also about 20 people coming to do the procedures to change their driving license.

Most of the people who came to change their driving licenses were those who had registered in advance. Some people brought their documents to do the renewal procedures but were informed and instructed by the staff to return and wait until early March 2025 when the procedures for granting and changing driving licenses will be transferred to the wards for more convenience.
