Speaking at the closing ceremony of the scientific conference "HCMC - Achievements in 50 years of construction, protection and development" on the morning of March 25, Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc said that opinions at the conference showed that over the past 50 years, HCMC, with its determination, has overcome many difficulties and challenges, achieving many great and meaningful achievements. According to Mr. Duoc, throughout the development process, Ho Chi Minh City has received special attention from the Party Central Committee and the Politburo. Over the past 50 years, the Politburo has issued four resolutions for Ho Chi Minh City to make breakthroughs in development in 1982, 2002, 2012, and 2022.

The results achieved are also thanks to the experience gained from the solidarity and consensus within the Party, the people and the whole society.

Mr. Duoc emphasized that this is an important factor contributing to the success of Ho Chi Minh City in the past 50 years. At the same time, it is the spirit of breakthrough and innovation. Ho Chi Minh City is the origin and pilot of many breakthrough policies and mechanisms of the country.
