Teacher Vuong Thuy Hang, HOCMAI education system analyzed, the reference Literature test keeps the same structure of 2 parts: Reading comprehension and Writing, the questions with accompanying materials do not change in quantity.
For the reading comprehension section, the text The Last Clouds of the Sky by author Doan Van Mat is a text outside the textbook, belonging to the lyrical poetry genre. By taking the central image of clouds with "drifting", "flying", "holding"... going through different emotions and then making us surprised, the author has expressed his own perception and perspective on life. This is a relatively easy-to-read text, with simple, rustic language and familiar images, so candidates have a relatively easy time interpreting the content.

With 3 questions testing literary knowledge and reading comprehension (identifying genres, identifying rhetorical devices, stating the content of a poem) divided into levels of recognition - understanding - application, candidates can complete the answers within the first 10 minutes.
In question number 4, which requires a brief answer about a lesson about life that was learned from reading the excerpt, candidates only need to ensure the content expression requirements (the sentence has no errors in word usage, expression, or grammar) and express their personal point of view; this is not a difficult question and is also a very familiar type of question.
The writing section retains the exam structure with 22 questions to assess candidates' knowledge and skills in writing social argumentative paragraphs and writing literary argumentative essays.
In question 1, candidates need to write a paragraph of about 200 words presenting the meaning of a positive attitude towards challenges with the requirements: ensuring correct content (meaning of a positive attitude, appropriate evidence, coherent ideas) and the form of a paragraph (sentences written smoothly, first line indented). For 12th grade students, this requirement is quite easy to complete, but with a short length, the test will not have a clear classification of the quality of the test.
Question 2 uses an excerpt from the work Who named the river by Hoang Phu Ngoc Tuong with two requirements: analyze the excerpt and then comment on the writer's feelings for the Huong River. A familiar text, included in the list of key works of grade 12, the required content has been studied and reviewed very carefully in the curriculum in class, so even though it is signed and commented on and is difficult to like, difficult to read, most candidates will still complete it at a fair level.
"Overall, with this test, candidates can easily achieve 7.5 - 8.25 points," Ms. Hang assessed.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc My, a Literature teacher in Hanoi, assessed that the 2024 high school graduation sample exam has a similar structure to the graduation exam of previous years. This is also the last year using the 2006 general education program structure. Therefore, the exam basically still ensures and meets the correct learning content of the old textbook program.
In general, the test is suitable for the ability of most students from average to good with high levels of recognition, understanding, application and application. However, the test is not too innovative, the materials are still the same as previous years, Ms. My said and predicted that the average score of this year's Literature reference test is about 6.5 to 7.5 points.
