National Assembly deputies expect ministers to answer "correctly and accurately" the industry's problems.

According to the agenda of the 31st session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will spend one day (March 18) organizing question and answer sessions on two groups of issues in the fields of finance and diplomacy.

Sharing with Nguoi Dua Tin , National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Thi Suu - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thua Thien Hue province said that the two groups of issues selected for questioning are of great interest to voters and people, especially the group of issues in the financial sector. The issues raised in the two fields of finance and diplomacy are quite tight and comprehensive.

Accordingly, the group of issues in the financial sector, the content of the questions and answers focused on the management and supervision of insurance business activities and service activities in the life insurance business sector.

In addition, there is the appraisal and licensing of companies providing financial services; the implementation of laws on lottery, betting, casino and electronic games with prizes. Price management and the decision on prices of goods and services on the list of goods and services priced by the State.

The group of issues in the field of diplomacy, the content of the questions and answers focused on the protection of Vietnamese citizens abroad; the situation of law violations by Vietnamese citizens abroad and foreigners in Vietnam; and the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Vietnamese fishermen.

The current status of implementing bilateral and multilateral agreements and solutions to promote the implementation of economic, trade and investment cooperation agreements; support for expanding export markets and supporting Vietnamese enterprises to avoid fraud.

Along with that are activities to promote and advertise Vietnam tourism to the world and visa exemption for citizens of other countries entering Vietnam to develop tourism. Management, arrangement, consolidation, improvement of qualifications and organizational capacity of the diplomatic sector. Solutions to strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity in diplomatic activities.

“Choosing these two areas of questioning is very urgent and in line with practical requirements. These are all issues that voters are very interested in,” said Ms. Suu.

Ms. Suu said that, in the financial sector, how to create a transparent and objective budget environment. The management of budget funds must also be strict and comprehensive.

“The stock market must regain transparency, flexibility and strength to survive and develop sustainably,” Ms. Suu added.

The female delegate hopes that the contents raised during the question and answer session will be realistic. At the same time, she hopes that the Ministers will continue to promote the spirit of openness, answer frankly, correctly and to the point, and propose appropriate solutions to remove obstacles in the management sector.

National Assembly Deputy Pham Van Hoa (Dong Thap Delegation) said that at the question and answer session of the National Assembly Standing Committee, he was particularly interested in the group of issues in the financial sector.

According to Mr. Hoa, the issues raised in the financial sector are all important issues that need to be clarified and have timely solutions.

With the changes and innovations in questioning activities in recent times, Mr. Hoa believes that in the upcoming question and answer session, National Assembly deputies will continue to ask key questions, closely following and following the proposed topics and groups of fields.

“Along with that, the Ministers and heads of sectors, with an open-minded spirit, will answer frankly, without avoiding, directly addressing the issues raised by the delegates. At the same time, they will clarify the issues raised by the delegates, seriously and frankly accept responsibility for the existing problems and limitations of the sector and field. From there, practical, effective, feasible solutions will be proposed in the short and long term,” Mr. Hoa added.

The question and answer session will be held at Dien Hong Room, National Assembly House and broadcast live to 62 National Assembly delegations in provinces and centrally run cities.

The questioning and answering of questions are conducted in groups of issues; the person answering the question does not present a report, but can speak on the question for no more than 5 minutes before the National Assembly representative begins the questioning; each turn has 3 to 5 representatives asking questions, each representative asking questions for no more than 1 minute; the person being questioned answers for no more than 3 minutes/question content. During the questioning process, the National Assembly representative has the right to debate with the person answering the question to clarify issues that have been answered but are not satisfactory; the debate time is no more than 2 minutes .
