Previously, on June 6 and 7, nearly 96,000 candidates took the Math, Literature, and Foreign Language exams to compete for a place in grade 10 public schools in Ho Chi Minh City. The total quota for 108 public high schools in the city is 77,300, with an admission rate of about 80%.

Ho Chi Minh City has mobilized 12,306 teachers to work as exam invigilators and 2,370 employees, security guards, police officers, etc. to work at exam sites.

According to the plan of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, from June 12 to June 17, the exam board will grade the exams.

The exam results are expected to be announced on June 20. Schools with 9th grade students will begin accepting applications for review from June 21 to June 24.

Also on June 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the admission scores for specialized and integrated high schools and the direct admission results. On July 10, the Department announced the admission scores for grade 10 and the list of candidates admitted to grade 10 for the 2023-2024 school year.

From July 11 to August 1, high school graduates submit their admission applications to the schools they have been admitted to.
