On March 29, the Ministry of Education and Training said that according to the draft guidelines for university and college admissions of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates use the accounts provided on the Ministry's admissions system to check their high school transcripts. If there are any errors, they need to report them before 5:00 p.m. on June 6.
Candidates are expected to register for university admission from July 16 and confirm admission no later than August 30.
Candidates eligible for direct admission or priority direct admission must submit their applications to universities no later than June 30 and receive results before July 15. Instead of enrolling early as usual, this group must continue to register their wishes on the Ministry's system to be considered according to the general schedule.
From July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, candidates can register, adjust, and add university admission wishes, an unlimited number of times.
After the high school graduation exam scores are released, universities will announce the threshold to ensure the quality of their entrance exams (the floor score). For the education and health sciences majors, the floor score will be announced before 5 p.m. on July 23.
University admission schedule 2025
Candidates pay the admission fee online from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5. After that, the Ministry and universities will process the admission application (virtual filtering) from August 16 to 5:00 p.m. on August 20.
After receiving the benchmark scores, successful candidates must confirm their admission on the system no later than 5:30 p.m. on August 30. The time when schools will announce the benchmark scores has not been mentioned.
The Ministry requires schools not to organize admissions before August 22. Additional admissions will begin from September 1 until the end of the year.
The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27.
This year, the exam will be held simultaneously for students taking the 2006 General Education Program (those who have not graduated, or are taking the exam to get university admission scores) and students taking the 2018 General Education Program.
For candidates taking the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program, the exam content closely follows the content of the current General Education Program at the high school level, mainly the 12th grade program. The thinking level is 40% knowledge level, 30% understanding level and 30% application level.
The graduation score calculation is only 50% of the high school graduation exam score (previous years were 70%), the remaining 50% is calculated from the 3 years of high school study.
