Huu Tuan is a candidate for the central defender position of the Vietnam national team.
In the football world, there is a saying that those who are called up to the national team are certainly worthy, but there are also players who are called up but are not used later. This is not necessarily because they are bad, it is simply because they do not fit the head coach's philosophy. For example, Mr. Park will have a different way of using people than Coach Troussier.

Coach Troussier can bring many surprises to the Vietnam team
On the attack line, in addition to familiar names like Tien Linh, Tuan Hai, Cong Phuong, Quang Hai... a potential candidate for the next training session is To Van Vu.
Vu "chicken" is a very special type of winger, with the ability to penetrate and create breakthroughs at the highest level in the V-League in recent years. He was called up to the Vietnam national team by Mr. Park several times but has not made an impression.
With Phan Van Duc's long-term injury, it is very likely that the opportunity will open up again for the former captain of Binh Duong Club, especially when his fiery and enthusiastic playing spirit may touch the heart of Coach Troussier.
The second name is likely to be the discovery of coach Philippe Troussier, that is midfielder Le Pham Thanh Long, who is considered the "heart" in the way coach Popov operates the playing style that is helping Thanh Hoa Club fly high at the top of the V-League table.

The midfielder from the first class of HAGL Arsenal JMG academy was molded under "godfather" Petrovic, helping him retain the intelligence and technique typical of the HAGL academy, but has a foundation of strength and effective tactical awareness while being one of the most comprehensive attacking midfielders of V-League 2023.
In addition, in the recent 1-1 draw between Nam Dinh and Hai Phong, the most regrettable and also the most beautiful moment was when Hendrio could not score when facing the goalkeeper. The key to that situation was that Khac Ngoc seemed to have eyes in his back, he skillfully backheeled the ball through the defender's legs to create a pass for Hendrio. A moment of improvisation from one of the best attacking midfielders in the V-League.
In addition to Khac Ngoc, there are 3 names that were highly expected but were not in coach Philippe Troussier's plan: the midfielder duo Van Thuan and Van Trien of coach Binh Dinh and Hai Huy of Hai Phong club.
Khac Ngoc is the midfield leader of Nam Dinh Club.
Van Thuan's forte is to play as the deepest midfielder in the midfield, blocking the center backs. The former Saigon FC player is still considered a "diesel machine" because of his toughness, endurance and ability to control the game very well.
Meanwhile, Cao Van Trien is a tireless "cleaning" midfielder, at a much higher level than Thai Son of the Vietnam U.22 team. His teammates often joke that with Van Trien, all other attacking players will be very relaxed because they are freed from defensive duties.
As for Hai Huy, he is a talented attacking midfielder. He always brings exciting emotions every time he plays for Quang Ninh Club with Vu Minh Tuan, or now Hai Phong Club.
It is a pity that Hai Phong FC could not maintain the same momentum as last season, but Hai Huy is still the soul of the Lach Tray team's playing style. His only limitation is his ability to compete and support defense.

Coach Troussier shared that he will change 40% of the national team's members in the training session from June 7, preparing for the friendly match with the Hong Kong team on June 15 at Lach Tray Stadium, of which 20% will be for U.22 Vietnam and 20% for new names.
After keeping the same squad for the AFF Cup 2022 in the first training session, this will be an opportunity for coach Troussier to make his first mark, as well as an opportunity for the stars who have been unlucky with Mr. Park to show off and put an end to the "unlucky" relationship with the Vietnamese team that has lasted for the past 5 years.
