Reporting on the progress of preparations for the awarding ceremony, Ms. Nghiem Thi Thanh Nguyet, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, said that up to now, the coordination and preparation work has been basically completed; the assigned units have actively and proactively implemented the tasks, ensuring that the ceremony to award the noble titles of the Party and State to artists will take place solemnly and meaningfully.
Accordingly, the reception and celebration plans were prepared to ensure solemnity and scientificity. The contents of the organization plan; program script, summary report of the awarding of titles, list of guests, People's Artists, Meritorious Artists and representatives of the families of late People's Artists, Meritorious Artists... have been basically completed.
“Determining the significance of the titles and the importance of the award ceremony, the agencies and functional units under the Ministry have actively and proactively implemented the assigned tasks, closely following the plan approved by the Ministry's leaders. The program's rehearsal will take place on the morning of March 5 at the Hanoi Opera House...”, Deputy Director of the Department Nghiem Thi Thanh Nguyet said.
At the meeting, leaders of Departments, Divisions and functional units reported on the progress and quality of work according to assigned tasks.
Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema Ly Phuong Dung said that the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio has completed the tasks of creating clips to be broadcast at the award ceremony; slides of images of artists and late artists; and completed the filming and filming plan for the program. These contents will continue to be completed, ensuring the right progress, information according to the plan, and assigned tasks.
Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy requested units to proactively and actively perform assigned tasks in preparing for the Ceremony to award the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist.
Reporting on the art program to welcome the event, Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts Tran Huong Duong said that the art program script had been approved by the leaders of the Ministry and the Department of Performing Arts and assigned to the Contemporary Art Theater to perform. The artists had carried out the rehearsal work, ensuring the progress and political and artistic elements, honoring the artists and their contributions to the national art and culture.
The task of creating the layout and design decoration was assigned to the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, and has now been completed. The exhibition of portraits of artists was carried out by the Vietnam Exhibition Center for Culture and Arts on schedule, ensuring quality and efficiency.
The leaders of the Ministry Office reported that in the past time, they have closely coordinated with the Department of Personnel Organization and related units to deploy preparations for the award ceremony. In particular, they have focused on coordinating with press agencies inside and outside the Ministry to implement and strengthen propaganda for the event before, during and after the award ceremony.
Representatives of the Emulation and Reward Department of the Office of the President and the Central Emulation and Reward Committee agreed on the content of the award ceremony program developed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; at the same time, they emphasized that they will continue to coordinate closely to ensure that the award ceremony is organized solemnly, practically and effectively.
There will be 389 artists awarded and posthumously awarded the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist in the 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist awarding ceremony, of which 125 People's Artists and 264 Meritorious Artists will receive the titles on this occasion.

Acknowledging the positivity and proactiveness of the units in performing their assigned tasks, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy affirmed that, up to this point, the preparations for the 10th People's Artist and Meritorious Artist awarding ceremony have been carried out thoughtfully and thoroughly, ensuring progress and criteria of solemnity and meaning.
The Deputy Minister noted that the units continue to complete the assigned work contents, ready for the rehearsal on the morning of March 5 and the official awarding ceremony taking place on the morning of March 6. In particular, the reception activities; the celebration decoration... must ensure the solemnity, dignity, and compliance with state protocol; at the same time, the activities within the framework of the program must create an exciting, joyful atmosphere at the beginning of the new spring, highlighting the meaning of honoring artists with many contributions.
