Launching the 'Dream House' 2025 Drawing Contest

(CLO) On the morning of April 2, 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam Children's Magazine held a launching ceremony for the 2025 "Dream House" painting contest with the theme "Happy Green City".

Over two seasons in 2023 and 2024, the "Dream House" contest has attracted more than 50,000 contestants nationwide, hundreds of schools and millions of parents to join the contest. In particular, many high-prize winning works have been auctioned, supporting activities for children, spreading the humane message of love and community responsibility.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Manh Huy - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Children's Magazine, Head of the contest's Organizing Committee said: "Through the entries, children will have the opportunity to create their dream green spaces in future cities such as green schools, public green spaces, green living and learning spaces, parks, green streets..., harmoniously developing modern amenities in parallel with environmental protection, protecting the earth and building a sustainable community for future generations".

According to the head of the Organizing Committee, in addition to promoting children's right to participate, the contest also aims to raise awareness of responsibility in preserving and protecting the environment for each person, for a beautiful, clean and healthy future.

Having been involved in the “Dream House” painting contest since its first season, Designer - Miss Ngoc Han shared: “The theme of this year’s contest is “Happy Green City” to help children better understand the environment, encourage green actions and sustainable lifestyles. Through drawings, children will create dream green spaces such as green houses, green schools, parks, streets filled with trees... It is not just an imaginary drawing, but also an aspiration for a modern city, in harmony with nature, contributing to building a community, protecting the earth sustainably for future generations...".

Through the competition, children will have the opportunity to create their dream green spaces in future cities such as green schools, public green spaces, green living and learning spaces, parks, green streets..., harmoniously developing modern amenities in parallel with environmental protection, protecting the earth and building a sustainable community for future generations.

The award ceremony is expected to take place in June 2025, in response to the Month of Action for Children 2025, International Children's Day June 1, and World Environment Day June 5. The winning works will be exhibited and auctioned to support children's activities organized by Vietnam Children's Magazine, a unit under the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights.

The judging structure is divided into 3 groups: Under 8 years old; From 8-11 years old; 11-15 years old. The Organizing Committee accepts entries from April 1, 2025 - May 25, 2025 (according to the postmark, or submitted directly to the Organizing Committee). Each contestant can submit a maximum of 2 A3-sized drawings about "Happy Green City".

The awards include: 2 collective awards; 10 First awards; 15 Second awards; 20 Third awards; 30 Fourth awards; Top 3 works for children are the works purchased to support activities for children at the highest level; Top 3 most favorite works on the Vietnam Children's Forum and 200 Prospective awards.
