This year, with the 2024 national championship title, VTV Binh Dien Long An Club represents Vietnamese women's volleyball at the 2025 Asian Club Championship, which will take place this April in the Philippines. The team from Long An shows great ambition with a squad of outstanding players such as Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Tra My, Kim Thoa, Ngoc Hoa and foreign player Natalia Lijewska (Poland). Not only that, the leader of VTV Binh Dien Long An Club revealed that they are negotiating to recruit more outstanding players such as Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and foreign player Edina Begic (Bosnia & Herzegovina). If they have these two talents, VTV Binh Dien Long An Club will be formidable, capable of competing for the highest title. According to the draw results of the Asian Women's Club Championship, VTV Binh Dien Long An Club is in Group C with Beijing Baic Motor Club (China), Saipa Tehran (Iran). The immediate goal of coach Thai Quang Lai and his team is to win one of the two tickets to the first and second place in the group to enter the quarterfinals. In the first stage of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, VTV Binh Dien Long An Club also performed quite impressively when it ranked second (after LPBank Ninh Binh Club), thereby winning the right to participate in the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup taking place from April 3 to 6 in Phu Tho.

In order to bring fans high-quality professional matches, the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup Organizing Committee allows participating teams to freely recruit and register domestic and foreign players. Unlike the national championship, each team can only register 2 foreign players and only 1 foreign player is allowed to play on the field.

With the open mechanism at Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup, many ambitious teams have made strong investments in their forces. For example, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team, in addition to the existing foreign duo Michal Kubiak (Poland) and Julio Cesar Cardenas (Cuba), also recruited hitter Rendy Tamamilang (Indonesia). With a quality domestic squad, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team is ready for the championship goal against competition from other strong opponents, the most formidable of which is the defending champion Border Guard.

The Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup 2025 promises to be exciting with the participation of 4 men's teams including Ho Chi Minh City Police, Border Guard, The Cong, Da Nang and 4 women's teams LPBank Ninh Binh, VTV Binh Dien Long An, Information Corps, and Industrial and Commercial Bank. These are the teams that have just shown impressive performance in the first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship in Hanoi.

Speaking yesterday, Mr. Le Tri Truong, General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, said: "The Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup is maintained and organized annually but is an open tournament. With such a nature, the Organizing Committee allows teams to freely hire foreign and domestic players, without limiting the number of foreign players on the field. This is to bring quality matches. Expanding the number of foreign players competing in the Hung Vuong Volleyball Cup is also the basis for the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to consider the effectiveness in calculating the method of using foreign players for the national volleyball championship next year. In most countries today, 2 or more foreign players are allowed to compete in the national championship. We integrate internationally but also need to calculate carefully to best suit the current context."
