Danish Ambassador Nicolai Prytz spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolai Prytz said: "Young people play an important role in developing society and promoting positive change. In Vietnam, young people have many opportunities to participate in social activities and create positive impacts. One of these opportunities is to participate in the drawing competition "Denmark in my eyes - Green ideas". The competition has created a forum for Vietnamese students to raise awareness and share concerns about climate and environmental issues as well as to come up with inspiring ideas. The competition also shows the passion and strong commitment of Vietnamese youth in creating a green and sustainable future for all of us".

Since its first launch in 2016, the annual “Denmark in My Eyes” competition has received a very positive response from Vietnamese primary and secondary school students nationwide. The 2024 competition attracted more than 24,600 entries from students from 260 schools and clubs across the country.

Accordingly, the Special Prize of the contest went to Nguyen Hoang Thinh, a 6th grade student at Hanoi Victoria School (Hanoi). At the award ceremony, Thinh shared: "With the contest entry titled "Green Earth - Green Future" made from scraps of fabric, I hope to inspire and call on friends and people around me to join hands to protect our planet and environment. By reusing discarded materials to create meaningful works of art, I want to honor the beauty of the world, the beauty of life and at the same time aim for sustainable values."
