Thai Binh: Opening of the 2025 National Club Badminton Tournament - Northern region

In her opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Binh province Dinh Thi Hoan emphasized that the tournament is one of the activities in a series of events to celebrate the 135th anniversary of the province's founding, the Thai Binh Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival in 2025 and towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The tournament aims to continue to encourage and motivate a large number of people from all walks of life to actively participate in physical exercise, improve their health, and contribute to promoting the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

This is an annual tournament within the annual tournament system of the Vietnam Badminton Federation, creating opportunities for amateur and professional athletes to exchange, compete, learn and improve their professional skills.

This year's tournament has the participation of 16 of the best clubs in the North such as Hanoi, Bac Giang, Thai Binh... with nearly 200 athletes participating. Among them, many national players with top achievements such as Pham Van Hai, Than Van Anh - the number one mixed doubles pair in Vietnam; Tran Thi Phuong Thuy - women's singles champion of the 2024 National Badminton Club Tournament of provinces, cities, and industries... also participated, promising to bring extremely exciting competitions.

Athletes will compete in a round-robin format in 5 age groups: age group 1 (14-30 years old), age group 2 (31-40 years old), age group 3 (41-45 years old), age group 4 (46-50 years old) and age group 5 (51-55 years old).

Immediately following the opening ceremony were the qualifying matches in age group 1 and age group 2.
