- Singer - musician QUACH THAI DUY: Ho Chi Minh City is like my second hometown, the place that welcomed the first steps of a student from the countryside of Dam Doi - Ca Mau and also the place where I started my career. Every change and development of Ho Chi Minh City makes me happy and proud. "The city waving to the future" is the voice of my heart, a miniature picture that I have gathered materials to describe the very typical features of Ho Chi Minh City into the song.

Each person will have a different perspective on Ho Chi Minh City. For me, it is the cries of vendors, the bustling crowds after work, the colorful buildings reflecting on the canal..., especially the Metro Line 1 that has transformed and meandered, bringing with it so many dreams of a glorious future for Ho Chi Minh City.

As a young singer and musician associated with the student artist movement, what do you expect from the songwriting campaign "The Country is Full of Joy" organized by the Lao Dong Newspaper?

- I have high expectations for this campaign, because it is a meaningful playground, inspiring young authors and musicians across the country. This is not only an opportunity for me to express my love for my homeland and country through music, but also an opportunity for the younger generation to understand more deeply about the history, culture and pride in the place where they live.

I hope that the songs composed from this movement will not only touch the hearts of today's listeners but also become inspirational melodies for many generations to come.

. According to your experience in composing, when writing a song with a theme, what kind of material should a musician look for?

- You need to find material from your own true emotions and from the life around you. It can be historical stories, cultural beauty, people, or personal memories associated with that topic. In addition, listening, observing and understanding what is happening in society is also a valuable source of inspiration.

With community or national themes, a deep understanding of traditions, national values and people's thoughts will help the song not only touch hearts but also spread strongly.

In your opinion , what needs to be done to effectively promote the songwriting campaign "The Country is Full of Joy"?

- In my opinion, we should collaborate with young artists in promotion, because it will be easier to attract young people. We should organize performances of songs at schools or in the community to reach the public. In addition, we need to popularize award-winning songs through MVs and on social networking platforms.

The songwriting campaign with the theme "The Country is Full of Joy" was organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). To date, the Organizing Committee has received 160 songs from 122 authors.

The Jury for the preliminary and final rounds has been established, including: Mr. To Dinh Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Head of the Steering Committee of the campaign; Mr. Nguyen Minh Hai, Head of the Propaganda - Press - Publishing Department, Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach, Vice President of the Vietnam Music Association; musician Nguyen Quang Vinh, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association; Associate Professor - Dr. Nguyen Thi My Liem - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association, Head of the Theory, Criticism and Training Association of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association; People's Artist Ta Minh Tam.

The final round will take place in February 2025 and the award ceremony is scheduled for April 2025. The Organizing Committee has posted the works on the newspaper's social media platforms to introduce them to the public.
