"Vietnam has beautiful natural scenery, many ethnic groups with their own cultural characteristics, creating a rich, diverse, attractive and captivating culture.

Vietnamese people are very emotional, love their family and love their country. Vietnamese people value affection, solidarity and mutual care and support. In addition, it is clear that Vietnamese people are very hard-working and creative in their work, regardless of public or private matters," said Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh.

During her tenure as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Laos to Vietnam, she will continue to learn more about Vietnamese culture and people; continue to promote and exchange fine cultural traditions between the two countries, aiming to promote the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples to bear more and more fruit.

Having been on duty in Vietnam for a year, Malaysian Ambassador Dato' Tan Yang Thai expressed his impression of Vietnam's rich culture.

In particular, the Ambassador loves Vietnamese cuisine. "The exquisite flavors and unique combinations of dishes are a testament to the country's culinary mastery. My favorite dish is pho ga. The broth of this dish reminds me of similar delicious dishes I used to eat as a child in Malaysia," he said.

Cultural and people-to-people exchanges are one of the pillars of the Malaysia-Vietnam cooperation relationship. Ambassador Dato' Tan Yang Thai said that in 2024, the Embassy will promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges in a vibrant manner with initiatives such as: activities to honor traditions, cultural seminars and exhibitions, joint marketing campaigns...

For traditional activities, the Embassy plans to participate in major events such as Nguyen Hue Flower Street as well as the Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) 2024.

In addition, to facilitate deeper cultural exchanges, the Malaysian Embassy will organize seminars and exhibitions that delve into the rich heritage, traditions and contemporary aspects of Malaysia and Vietnam. Collaborative marketing campaigns will also be initiated to promote the cultural narrative of both countries.

The Embassy will also co-organize the Malaysia Tourism Seminar, bringing together tourism experts and enthusiasts from both countries.
