(QNO) - According to the People's Committee of Dai Loc district, by the end of 2023, the whole district will have 14 industrial clusters (ICs), with a total land lease area of 188.25 hectares, including 27 operating enterprises. Most of the factories generate wastewater during operation.

At 14 industrial parks, most of the factories generate wastewater during operation. The units have proactively invested in building and operating wastewater treatment systems, discharging waste into the environment to ensure compliance with environmental standards as prescribed. Outside the industrial parks, there are currently more than 40 enterprises, production and business establishments; in addition, there are also small-scale processing and production and business establishments, households... located in residential areas.

Currently, only 1/14 industrial parks are investing in building a common wastewater treatment system for the entire cluster. Enterprises inside and outside the industrial parks are operating their own waste treatment systems, and the basic discharge parameters are in compliance with the permitted environmental standards. Small-scale facilities and households do not have enough resources to strictly control environmental protection work.

Regarding medical wastewater, the Northern Quang Nam Mountainous Region General Hospital generates the largest volume of wastewater of 300m3 /day and night. The District Health Center and commune health stations have very little wastewater (mainly domestic wastewater). Currently, only the Northern Quang Nam Mountainous Region General Hospital and the District Health Center have a wastewater treatment system that meets the requirements.

Meanwhile, commune and town health stations and non-state medical facilities do not have wastewater treatment systems, mainly treated in anaerobic tanks, then seeping into the soil environment or discharged into the water environment. Private clinics are preparing documents to request consideration for environmental licenses.
