Highlights of Vietnamese Cultural Day in Tyumen Province, Russian Federation

On March 24, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Ekaterinburg coordinated with the Tyumen Provincial Government, Russian Federation to organize Vietnamese Cultural Day in Tyumen.

The event took place at the modern Technopark Cultural Complex in the center of Tyumen, attracting the participation of more than 300 Russian guests. The event was attended by Mr. Andrei Panteleev, Deputy Governor of Tyumen Oblast, along with leaders of the provincial departments and agencies.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Consul General in Yekaterinburg Nguyen Mai Huong emphasized that the Vietnamese Cultural Day in Tyumen is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation (1950-2025). This activity helps the people of Tyumen in particular and the people of Russia in general better understand the unique features of the traditional culture of Vietnam, a heroic and peace-loving nation.

Consul General Nguyen Mai Huong thanked the Tyumen Provincial Government for supporting the organization of the event, highly appreciated the contribution of Russian and Vietnamese students in Tyumen to the success of the activity and expressed her joy at the enthusiastic reception of the Russian people for this meaningful cultural exchange event.

Mr. Andrei Panteleev, Deputy Governor of Tyumen province, affirmed that Vietnam Day in Tyumen is a special event, held for the first time in Tyumen, a valuable opportunity for local people to learn more about the country, culture and people of Vietnam, contributing to promoting bilateral cooperation and cultural exchange between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

Mr. Andrei Panteleev emphasized that Vietnamese students have contributed greatly to the success of the event. With Russia's current Eastward policy, the young generation is the bridge between the two peoples, promoting the long-standing, friendly relations between the two countries in the future. Tyumen province wishes to promote cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the fields of education and economy-trade.

Within the framework of the event, Russian friends attended a photo exhibition about the country and people of Vietnam, enjoyed an art exchange program performed by the Vietnamese Student Association in Tyumen and Russian students, and watched Vietnamese movies. In addition, at the event, young Russians had the opportunity to experience many interesting and unique activities with strong Vietnamese imprints such as Dong Ho painting and bamboo dancing.
