According to statistics, in week 46/2023, the whole country recorded 5,903 cases of dengue fever, no deaths (Compared to the previous week, the number of cases decreased by 18.2%), of which the number of hospitalizations was 4,568 (compared to the previous week, the number of hospitalizations decreased by 18.2%).

Accumulated from the beginning of the year until now, the whole country has recorded 149,557 cases, 36 deaths. Compared to the same period in 2022, the number of cases decreased by 53.2%, the number of deaths decreased by 109 cases.
In Hanoi, the city's Center for Disease Control (CDC) said that during the week from November 10 to 17, the city recorded 2,476 more cases of dengue fever in 30 districts, towns and cities (a decrease of 54 cases compared to the previous week).
Districts with many patients last week, in which Thanh Oai was at the top with 209 cases, followed by Ha Dong (206 cases), Dong Da (199 cases), Hoang Mai (170 cases), Thuong Tin (145 cases), Thanh Tri (133 cases), Phu Xuyen (120 cases), Chuong My (110 cases).
Accumulated from the beginning of 2023 to now, Hanoi has recorded a total of 33,489 cases of dengue fever (2.5 times higher than the same period last year), including 4 deaths. Patients are distributed in 30/30 districts, towns and cities; 575/579 communes, wards and towns.
Of which, the districts with many patients are: Ha Dong (2,347 cases), Hoang Mai (2,170 cases), Thanh Oai (2,087 cases), Phu Xuyen (2,041 cases), Dong Da (1,928 cases), Thanh Tri (1,755 cases).
Notably, in addition to the two main circulating dengue virus types D1 and D2, recent monitoring results show that Hanoi has recorded an additional type D3 that causes dengue fever. Specifically, according to the Hanoi CDC, the monitoring results of the circulating dengue virus types in 2023 showed 14 samples positive for D1, 17 samples positive for D2, and 1 sample positive for D3.
According to medical experts, in our country, there are currently 4 types of Dengue virus that cause dengue fever, denoted as D1, D2, D3 and D4. Therefore, a person can get dengue fever up to 4 times in their lifetime and the second time is often more severe than the first time.
