The Ministry of Information and Communications, together with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and relevant agencies, organized the photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024”. This is the second year the contest has been organized and is one of the key activities in the series of media events - exhibitions on human rights in Vietnam 2024 (Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024).
In 2024, the contest will be held for the second time, launched nationwide to attract the participation of many authors from all over the country. Authors, both professional and amateur, Vietnamese and foreigners, at home or abroad, can participate. The organizers also added that photos of activities of Vietnamese people abroad will still be considered for participation.

The photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam 2024” aims to discover and honor meaningful moments and stories about all aspects of Vietnam's political, economic, cultural and social life through photo and video works submitted by domestic and international authors to vividly affirm Vietnam's achievements in the field of human rights.
The contest is one of the activities to implement the Communication Project on Human Rights in Vietnam approved by the Prime Minister on September 14, 2022. Mobilizing the combined strength of all classes of people in the country, the Vietnamese community abroad and international friends in communication work, promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world to affirm to the world that Vietnam is a peaceful, beautiful country, dynamically developing and a happy country.
The entries must promote the image of Vietnam, its people, its cultural and natural values throughout the country; arouse national pride and aspirations for development in all classes of people to join hands in building Vietnam to become increasingly prosperous, wealthy and happy.
