According to information from Telegram pages monitoring the war in Ukraine, the Russian Army has just shot down another M1 Abrams tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Accordingly, the aforementioned Abrams tank was destroyed in the village of Berdychi, near Avdeeska.
“First, the tank was disabled by a grenade launcher. Then, suicide UAVs of the 30th Motorized Rifle Brigade from Samara finished it off,” Russia’s Lenta news agency reported.
This is the second Abrams tank destroyed on record in the field. However, according to information from the front line, the number of American tanks shot down is much higher.

In early March 2024, details of the destruction of the first Abrams tank in the Northern Military District were made public. The commander of the assault group Kolovrat said that the first Abrams was destroyed after two attacks. “ We stopped it with the first drone, the crew then abandoned the vehicle. We continued to attack the tank with the second UAV, hitting the ammunition container behind the turret. The vehicle caught fire and was burned. Our priority target was the AFU vehicle, rather than the crew.”
On February 27, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that an American Abrams tank was destroyed in fighting in the Avdeevka direction.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that on the night of March 3, the air defense system in the Crimean Peninsula destroyed 38 AFU drones that violated airspace.
Earlier, the Telegram Shot channel reported several explosions in Feodosia, Crimea. Specifically, several loud explosions were heard at 3 a.m. and several other explosions were heard later.
Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was temporarily suspended following reports of the explosion. Drivers on the bridge and in the area of the checkpoint at the time were asked to remain calm and follow the instructions of traffic police. Traffic on the Crimean Bridge was later resumed.
Regarding the conflict, the British newspaper The Times commented that Russian intelligence was able to track the transfer of Western SCALP and Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine thanks to information learned after a conversation between German officers published in the media.
Specifically, the German Air Force Commander, in an intercepted conversation, revealed secret British activities in Ukraine, and discussed methods of delivering cruise missiles to Kiev.
From the transcript of the conversation, France is sending SCALP missiles on Audi Q7 crossovers, while the British are using Ridgeback armored vehicles to transport Storm Shadow missiles.
“ This information would help Russian intelligence track, locate and potentially target such vehicles in Europe and Ukraine ,” the Times reported.
The authors of the article believe that Britain and other NATO members should be extremely vigilant against information security breaches that lead to the disclosure of such sensitive data.
On March 1, RT TV channel editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan published a recording of a conversation between senior German Army officers about the attack on the Crimean bridge using German Taurus cruise missiles and French Dassault Rafale fighter jets.
The German Defense Ministry said it would not comment on media reports. However, German counterintelligence later began investigating the possibility of leaks of conversations between German military leaders related to the incident.
The German newspaper Bild reported that there were many factors that suggested that the recording of the officers' conversation regarding the attack on the Crimean Bridge was real. Der Spiegel wrote that the German Ministry of Defense believed the recording was real. Berliner Zeitung wrote that within minutes of downloading the file, it became clear that it was not a fake or created by artificial intelligence.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has promised a detailed investigation into the leak of conversations between German officers. Asked about the possible damage to German foreign policy caused by the incident, Olaf Scholz said what had happened was “a very serious matter.”
The Wall Street Journal commented that the relationship between Germany and NATO could become worse after the above mentioned leak of confidential military information.
Sources for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung publication said that Chancellor Olaf Scholz has not changed his position on supplying Taurus to Kiev, but is still supplying conventional weapons to the AFU.
The German Chancellor later announced that she would not send NATO troops to Ukraine because Germany did not want a war between Russia and NATO. He considered continued support for Ukraine as the key to restoring peace in Europe.
