According to the plan, travel agencies will operate flights from Kazakhstan to Da Nang with a frequency of 4 flights per week from April to October 2025. Specifically, from Almaty to Da Nang there will be 2 flights per week on Tuesday and Friday; from Astana to Da Nang there will be 2 flights per week on Wednesday and Saturday.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, the opening of the flight route from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Da Nang marks an important milestone in connecting Da Nang tourism with the Kazakhstan market in particular and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in general, contributing to promoting the attraction of tourists from this new potential market to Da Nang.

In recent times, the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City has proactively issued a Plan to develop and serve the international tourist market via flights from CIS countries, focusing on communication, promotion and market research; enhancing the promotion of Da Nang tourism to the CIS market; sharing information, orienting the market, and checking to ensure security and safety for tourists; preparing suitable tourism products and improving the quality of human resources serving tourists.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism also informed that on the evening of the same day, the locality will welcome flight number 8M-454 of Myanmar Airways International departing from Yangon (Myanmar) to Da Nang International Airport, bringing nearly 120 passengers to visit the central coastal city. This is also the first flight of Myanmar Airways International to Da Nang City.

The addition of a new flight route from Yangon (Myanmar) to Da Nang marks the milestone of 8/10 countries in Southeast Asia having direct flights to Da Nang, and at the same time increases the total number of international flights to Da Nang to 16 regular flights.

CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) has 9 official member countries, including: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

According to the survey, the demand for travel in this market is very high, especially during the winter holidays (from December to February). Most of the current tours are from 10 to 15 days long. Most of the tours are booked through travel agencies, in groups, or with families./.
