Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of April 3, 2025 |
Experts say that in the short term, coffee prices will likely continue to fluctuate within a wide range as the market is still influenced by weather and speculative sentiment.
In the medium term, Robusta production forecasts in Brazil and Vietnam are both high, creating considerable supply pressure. However, the upward momentum can still be maintained if inventories are low and demand recovers in the European and US markets.
Coffee prices recovered from their lowest in more than two months to close higher. Short covering activity emerged in the coffee futures market on weather concerns in Brazil, with the Somar Meteorologia agency forecasting limited rainfall in Brazil’s coffee-growing regions over the next week to 10 days. In addition, the Brazilian real rose against the dollar, dampening the incentive for Brazilian coffee producers to sell their coffee on the market.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam, in the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 509,500 tons with a turnover of 2.88 billion USD, down 12.9% in volume but up 49.5% in turnover compared to the same period in 2024.
The average export price of coffee in the first 3 months of 2025 is estimated at 5,656 USD/ton, an increase of 71.7% over the same period in 2024. Germany, Italy and Japan are the 3 largest coffee consuming markets of Vietnam, accounting for market shares of 16.2%, 9.9% and 7.4% respectively.
