Tourism and Aviation Industry “join hands” to promote cooperation to stimulate tourism

At the meeting, the two sides discussed and agreed on a number of cooperation contents between the tourism and aviation sectors to implement Resolution No. 25/NQ-CP of the Government on the growth target of industries, fields and localities to ensure the national growth target of 8% or more in 2025 , and at the same time proposed plans to promote cooperation activities, especially during the upcoming summer tourist peak season.

Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Uong Viet Dung affirmed the close relationship between the tourism and aviation industries. In the coming time, to promote cooperation to a new level, Mr. Dung proposed that the two sides coordinate to organize working groups to inspect key airports to serve tourists during the holidays and sign a cooperation plan between the Vietnam National Tourism Administration and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. In addition, the two sides will coordinate with relevant parties to organize a conference to promote the cooperation plan, stimulate tourism, and create favorable conditions for tourists.

Agreeing with the suggestions of the leaders of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Director Nguyen Trung Khanh emphasized that the Vietnam National Tourism Administration is always ready to implement and expand plans and cooperation activities with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.

Director Nguyen Trung Khanh hopes that in the near future, the two sides will work together with localities, travel agencies, hotels and tourism service providers to jointly participate in the tourism stimulus program, creating favorable conditions for tourists in terms of accommodation, tours, etc. to encourage tourists to choose suitable flight times.

In addition, the two sides agreed to choose a locality as a tourism center to organize a conference on aviation and tourism during the peak season with the participation of localities, airlines, travel businesses, hotels, etc. They asked for guidance from the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Construction to organize a national conference on Tourism - Aviation.

“All of us must coordinate, accompany and implement together to promote cooperation between the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, bringing the best experiences and creating the most favorable conditions for tourists to travel,” Director Nguyen Trung Khanh emphasized.

According to Deputy Director Ha Van Sieu, the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two Departments will be a solid foundation to promote cooperation in the development of the two sectors. The Deputy Director suggested that in the coming time, the two sides will coordinate to discuss and implement activities such as: inspecting key airports; sharing strategic cooperation; developing stimulus packages; organizing tourism awards associated with aviation; statistics on the contribution of air tourism to the economy; building annual reports on air tourism... At the same time, it is necessary to emphasize the implementation of activities to stimulate air tourism associated with the Government's visa policy.
