VTV will broadcast live the 50th anniversary of national reunification

The national celebration will take place from 6:30 a.m. on April 30 on Le Duan Street, District 1, and central streets of Ho Chi Minh City. The ceremony includes an art program, a flag-raising ceremony, speeches by Party and State leaders, speeches by representatives of veterans and the younger generation, and the release of balloons and doves.

The highlight of the celebration was the grand parade with the participation of more than 13,000 people, including 35 armed forces, chaired by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security .

Within the framework of the program, there will be a 21-gun salute to the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, a welcome flyover by the air force, and a parade of model cars symbolizing the 50th anniversary of national reunification...

According to the document just issued by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, on this occasion, the city will have many other key activities such as: an artistic fireworks display on the evening of April 30, and the 37th Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup bicycle race with the theme "The Country is One" at noon on April 30.

Before the anniversary, the City will organize incense and flower offering ceremonies to commemorate the heroic martyrs on April 29 at many locations such as: Ho Chi Minh City Martyrs Cemetery; City Cemetery (Lac Canh); Ben Duoc Memorial Temple; Cu Chi District Martyrs Cemetery; Ho Chi Minh City Policy Cemetery (Cu Chi District); Nga Ba Giong National Historical Site (Hoc Mon District).

The incense and flower offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang will also take place on April 29 at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch, Ton Duc Thang Museum and the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park on Nguyen Hue Street. The city will also organize programs to pay tribute to families of martyrs, people with meritorious services, veterans, former youth volunteers and those who participated in the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising.

In addition, there are also programs to summarize and award literature and art awards for the period 1975-2025, and to inaugurate and start construction works to celebrate the great ceremony.

Activities chaired and jointly organized by the Ministry and the sector in Ho Chi Minh City include: a national scientific conference at 8:00 a.m. on April 17; a photo exhibition " Proud of a Border Strip" from April 27; a television bridge "The Epic of Peace" at 8:00 p.m. on April 5; an outdoor art program " A Country Full of Joy" at 8:10 p.m. on April 20; a national television bridge " Forever the Triumphant Song" at 8:10 p.m. on April 27; a special art program at 8:10 p.m. on April 29 and a brass band performance combined with horseback riding techniques scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on April 30.
