Recognizing 04 OCOP products achieving 4 stars

Comrade Huynh Kim Nhan, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, awarded 4-star OCOP product certificates to the subjects.

Attending the event were Mr. Huynh Kim Nhan, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tra Vinh; Pham Thanh Tieng, Deputy Head of the Provincial Department of Rural Development; Lam Hoang Anh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Vinh city and representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Chau Thanh and Tra Cu districts, along with entities with products achieving 4-star OCOP.

Four products that have achieved 4-star OCOP recognition include: My Hometown Rice (Thuan Thien Private Enterprise, Tra Cu District); Headless, shelled, deveined, tailless whiteleg shrimp, boiled and frozen with sauce (Cuu Long Seafood Joint Stock Company); Hoa Hong Coconut Oil (Phuong Huynh Clean Coconut Oil Production Facility, Tra Vinh City); Mekong Pure Cocoa Powder (Mekong Cocoa Company Limited, Chau Thanh District).

Up to now, the whole province has 393 OCOP products; of which: 03 products have achieved 5 stars; 07 products have achieved 5-star potential; 46 products have achieved 4 stars and 337 products have achieved 3 stars, of 250 participating entities (of which, there are 32 companies, 07 enterprises, 35 cooperatives, 04 cooperative groups and 172 business households).

Representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Rural Development and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development took souvenir photos with the subjects achieving 4-star OCOP.


According to Mr. Huynh Kim Nhan, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will coordinate with units and entities in promoting and bringing products to trade. Currently, OCOP products are still few, not fully exploiting the potential strengths of the province.

The OCOP program, implemented since 2018, has achieved positive results, contributing significantly to improving product quality, developing the rural economy and building new rural areas. Local OCOP products need to focus on improving quality, aiming to develop, expand and upgrade the star rating from 3 stars to 4 stars; 4-star products need to be developed to 5 stars...
