The ceremony to announce the decision to establish the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Government (Government Youth Union) took place on the afternoon of March 18 in Hanoi.

The Government Youth Union was established under Decision No. 1214, dated March 6, of the Central Youth Union Standing Committee. This is an important milestone, marking the beginning of a Youth Union organization equivalent to the provincial level with 51 affiliated units, and more than 300,000 members working and studying at ministries, ministerial-level agencies; corporations, general companies, and state-owned commercial banks.
45 Youth Union officials have been trusted, selected and appointed to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and key positions of the Government Youth Union for the period 2025 - 2027.
This is an important milestone in the formation and development of the Government Youth Union; at the same time, it affirms the pioneering role of the Government's youth in carrying out political tasks associated with the production and business of the unit, the policies of the Party and the State; opening a new stage with many practical activities, contributing to building a generation of young cadres with courage, intelligence and responsibility.

Member of the Government Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the Government Youth Union Bui Hoang Tung said that in order to fulfill the assigned tasks, the Government Youth Union Executive Committee is determined to strive to complete 6 key targets.
Specifically: 3,500 new party members were admitted to the Party from 4,500 outstanding members introduced to the Party.
5,600 topics, initiatives and solutions applied in policy consulting, business, services, production labor and scientific research were recognized by the Party Committee and unit leaders.
4,300 youth projects at all levels in performing political and professional tasks of agencies, units and enterprises; building new rural areas and implementing sustainable development goals.
350 houses of gratitude and charity were supported to build to implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Prime Minister.
600,000 new trees planted towards Net Zero target by 2050.
85 billion VND to implement social security and volunteer activities for community life.

Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee Lai Xuan Lam emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union is the Party's trusted reserve force, and that the youth of the Government today will continue to contribute to the cause of building a rich, civilized, and prosperous country in the new era, the era of national growth.
The Government Youth Union must take the lead in building a learning society, using knowledge as strength, turning learning into self-awareness, self-need and constantly striving to improve one's own professional qualifications, effectively contributing to the overall development of the country.
The Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee believes that with the spirit of enthusiasm, dynamism and creativity, the Government's youth will continue to promote the fine tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, actively contributing to the cause of building an honest, active, constructive and people-serving Government; and being a pioneering and creative force in the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
On this occasion, the Government Youth Union Executive Committee launched an emulation movement to welcome Party Congresses at all levels towards the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
