Pursuant to the Party Charter; Working regulations of the 13th Central Executive Committee, Politburo and Secretariat; Regulations on decentralization of cadre management; considering the proposal of the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Central Organization Committee, the Secretariat appointed Colonel Bui Quang Thanh - Director of Nghe An Provincial Public Security to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee in Decision No. 1133-QDNS/TW dated February 2, 2024.

On behalf of the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy presented the Decision, presented congratulatory flowers and delivered a speech assigning tasks to comrade Bui Quang Thanh.

Comrade Bui Quang Thanh was born on July 2, 1977; hometown is Nam Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province; joined the Party on June 1, 1999, official date June 1, 2000. He has a professional qualification of Doctor of Law - People's Police Academy; high political level.

Previously, in Decision No. 8889/QD-X01 dated December 18, 2023, the Minister of Public Security transferred Colonel Bui Quang Thanh - Director of Dak Nong Provincial Police to take up work and hold the position of Director of Nghe An Provincial Police, replacing his predecessor, Major General Pham The Tung, who was transferred by the Minister of Public Security to take up work and hold the position of Director of the Department of Internal Political Security, Ministry of Public Security.

On February 26, 2024, President Vo Van Thuong signed a decision to promote the rank of Colonel to Major General for Comrade Bui Quang Thanh - Director of Nghe An Provincial Police. The decision takes effect from the date of signing.
