(NLDO) - A Chinese man riding a suitcase on the street in downtown Ho Chi Minh City caused outrage.
On March 24, Mr. ZT (75 years old, Chinese nationality) was administratively fined for riding a suitcase on the street.

Accordingly, on March 20, Mr. ZT was sitting on a suitcase moving on Le Thanh Ton Street, Ben Nghe Ward (District 1). The incident was recorded by people and posted on social networks.
Ben Nghe Ward Police then drew up a record to handle Mr. ZT for using a skateboard and similar devices on the road.
On March 23, Ben Nghe Ward Police also took the statement of TTNT (43 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) to handle the act of riding a suitcase on the street.
At 9:00 a.m. the same day, while on patrol, the police discovered Ms. T. riding a suitcase on Le Duan Street, Ben Nghe Ward, so they invited her in for questioning.
At the police station, T. admitted his violation and pledged not to use the suitcase to travel on the road.
Ms. TTNT was issued an administrative penalty notice.
According to the police, the violation of the two people riding the suitcases above will be punished according to the provisions of Point b, Clause 2, Article 12 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP regulating administrative sanctions for violations of traffic order and safety in the field of road traffic; deduction of points, restoration of driving license points. The fine is 225,000 VND.
People are advised not to use electric suitcases to travel on the streets. This is a violation of the Law on Road Traffic Safety and Order, and is potentially dangerous for both the user and other road users because it is difficult to control and can easily cause accidents.
