In 2024, with the attention, leadership and direct and comprehensive direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security; of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, the close and synchronous coordination of all levels, sectors, and armed forces, especially the trust and great support of the people of all ethnic groups in the province, the Thanh Hoa Public Security force has united and strived to excellently complete the task of ensuring political security, maintaining social order and safety, and was awarded the Flag "Excellent Unit in the Emulation Movement" by the Government in 2024.

On December 26 and 27, 2024, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held the 80th National Public Security Conference to review the situation and results of Public Security work in 2024, deploy tasks for 2025, and summarize 40 years of Public Security work serving the country's innovation cause. The conference was honored to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and other Party and State leaders and representatives of central departments, ministries and branches.
Within the scope of the Conference program, on the afternoon of December 27, authorized by the leaders of the Party and State, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security chaired the Ceremony to announce the Decision and present the noble rewards of the Party and State to collectives and individuals who have made outstanding achievements in combat and combat service, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland; at the same time, awarded the Government's Excellent Emulation Flag to 29 units and localities. Of which, Thanh Hoa Public Security was honored to be one of 29 Public Security units, localities and Police schools to be awarded the Flag of Excellent Unit by the Prime Minister in the emulation movement "For National Security" in 2024.
In 2024, although the international, regional and domestic situation has many complicated and unpredictable developments and has had a significant impact on the security and order situation in the province. However, under the direct and comprehensive leadership and direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security; the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the coordination of all levels, sectors, armed forces and the trust and support of the people of all ethnic groups in the province, the Thanh Hoa Public Security force has united and strived to excellently complete the task of ensuring security and order, contributing to creating a favorable and safe environment to attract investment, develop the socio-economy, and strengthen national defense in the province.
With the task of improving the effectiveness of the Public Security force's advisory work to local Party committees and authorities in leading and directing the implementation of the task of ensuring security and order; fighting and preventing and defeating the plots and sabotage activities of hostile and reactionary forces in the field of ensuring national security, the Provincial Public Security has proactively grasped, synthesized, analyzed, evaluated, forecasted and handled the situation, promptly advised Party committees and authorities at all levels to direct and effectively implement working measures, absolutely protect security and safety on key routes, fields, areas and targets, and prevent "passivity", "suddenness", "surprise" and the formation of "hot spots".

In particular, 2024 is a year that marks comprehensive results in crime prevention and suppression; it is the year with the deepest decrease in social order crimes ever (25.5%); in which, some prominent crimes, accounting for a high proportion in the crime structure, such as: intentional injury decreased by 34%, murder decreased by 45.8%, property theft decreased by 36.4%, fraud and appropriation of property decreased by 38.3%... compared to 2023.
The effectiveness of state management of security and order in the area has been improved. Traffic accidents have been controlled and reduced in 3 criteria; the number of fires has decreased by 36% and the number of deaths has decreased by 20% compared to the same period in 2023; public order and urban order have been ensured, there have been no prolonged traffic jams and illegal racing. The results of handling violations of traffic safety have increased by nearly 20% compared to the same period last year. The work of building a movement for the whole people to protect national security has been widely deployed, promoting the positivity and self-awareness of the people to participate in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level; many advanced models and examples have operated effectively and have been widely replicated. Party building, force building, logistics and healthcare have received focused leadership; in particular, 100% of public investment capital has been disbursed according to the targets assigned by the Ministry. Discipline and order have been tightened, contributing to preventing violations and wrongdoings by officers and soldiers.
With its achievements and results, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police is honored to be one of 29 Police units, localities and Police schools to receive the Flag "Excellent Unit in the Emulation Movement" in 2024 from the Prime Minister.
