At the close of trading yesterday (December 22), XDC shares of Tan Cang Construction Joint Stock Company increased to the ceiling price of 68,000 VND. This is the fourth consecutive purple session of this stock when it is only 1 week away from being delisted. XDC had risen to become the most expensive stock on the Vietnamese stock exchange at the end of June with a price of nearly 900,000 VND - surpassing VNZ shares of VNG Joint Stock Company at that time.
However, the trading volume remained sluggish at only 100 - 200 units per session, enough to push XDC's stock price to the ceiling. Notably, this ceiling increase occurred when the stock only had 1 more week to trade.
XDC code, once the most expensive stock on the stock exchange, was delisted from the end of December 2023.
According to the announcement from the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), XDC shares on UPCoM will be deregistered from December 29, 2023 and the last trading day will be December 28, 2023. The reason is that this company is an equitized enterprise after 1 year from the first trading day but still does not meet the conditions to be a public company according to regulations.
XDC code is traded on UPCoM from December 1, 2022 with only 8,200 shares registered for trading. The reference price on the first trading day is VND 15,500/share. This is the number of shares successfully auctioned out of a total of nearly 3.28 million shares offered for public auction in October 2022.
In May - June 2023, XDC had a series of consecutive ceiling-raising days and in less than 2 months, this code increased rapidly from 18,000 VND to nearly 900,000 VND with sluggish liquidity. This attracted attention from an unknown stock when XDC suddenly became the most expensive stock on the Vietnamese stock exchange. But with the delisting at the end of next week, XDC will disappear from the stock exchange.
