A series of billion-dollar projects in Hue are about to start construction on March 26.

On March 17, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Chief of Office of Hue City People's Committee, said that a series of trillion-dollar projects that are the driving force for the city's development will be started on March 26.

Billion-dollar projects help Hue city develop

Accordingly, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Thua Thien Hue (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025) and the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Hue City Party Committee (April 1930 - April 2025), many key projects in the area will be broken ground, commenced and put into operation to welcome this important event.

Specifically, the Nguyen Hoang Bridge project across the Huong River is expected to open to traffic on March 26. This is a bridge across the Huong River with a unique design, creating a highlight for the landscape as well as contributing to completing the traffic network, preventing congestion and reducing traffic volume for National Highway 1 and routes through the center of Hue City. The project has a total investment capital in phase 1 of VND 1,855 billion.

The Creanza High-Tech Quartz Sand Processing Factory Project invested by Creanza CNC Materials JSC with a total capital of VND2,187 billion in Phong Dien Industrial Park is expected to start construction on March 26.

The project, when put into operation, will provide about 1.6 million m² of high-grade quartz slabs to the domestic and international markets, contributing to optimizing the efficiency of quartz sand exploitation, enhancing the value of local quartz sand and creating products with high added value.

The Dat Phuong super white flower glass factory project invested by Dat Phuong Glass Joint Stock Company is also expected to start construction on this occasion. The project has a total investment of 2,000 billion VND in Phong Dien Industrial Park.

This project is expected to contribute to promoting the production of products processed from sand, saving resources and bringing high-quality super white glass products from Vietnam to the international market.

At Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone, Hue city will start construction of Chan May Logistics Center project invested by LEC Group Joint Stock Company, with a total capital of 1,514 billion VND.

The project will meet the urgent need for warehouse systems, cold storage, technical infrastructure, auxiliary works, machinery and equipment for storing and loading and unloading goods, providing other support services related to transportation, serving the circulation of goods through Chan May port, promoting the development of container cargo volume through Chan May port.

Hue is about to have more social housing.

Also on this occasion, Hue city plans to start construction of a social housing project on the land plot coded XH1, in area C - An Van Duong new urban area, invested by Phu My Thuong Investment Joint Stock Company with a total investment of more than 842 billion VND.

In addition, the project of building blocks XH1, XH4 belonging to the social housing project - high-rise apartment building OXH1 invested by the joint venture Cotana Joint Stock Company - TELIN Group Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of 320 billion VND, is also expected to start construction in Hue on this occasion.

Besides, the FPT Inter-level School project in Hue is expected to have its topping out ceremony.

The school has a total investment of more than 432 billion VND, is an educational complex including general education from primary to high school, and vocational education from primary to college level meeting national standards.

According to Mr. Giang, a series of projects being implemented in the area will create momentum to help the young city of Hue develop rapidly, complete economic goals, and live up to the country's expectations of the 6th centrally-governed city of Vietnam.
