On the evening of May 21, at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City Club lost to Hanoi Police Club with a score of 3-5 in round 8 of V-League 2023. This was the 6th loss of the "Red Battleship" since the beginning of the V-League season.

After the match, coach Vu Tien Thanh shared: "HCMC FC played well. Even though we lost early, we still tried to come back. However, the defense of HCMC FC has encountered problems. Up to now, every match ahead is difficult. But I always believe that HCMC FC will stay in the league."

Coach Vu Tien Thanh disappointed with Ho Chi Minh City Club's defeat at home

"HCMC FC always scores better points away from home. We have to be determined with our defensive style of play. However, losing 10 goals in 2 matches is unacceptable. We will improve this in the future," Mr. Thanh added.

The situation is getting more difficult for the Thong Nhat Stadium team. After phase 1, V-League 2023 will start to separate the groups to find the champion (top 8 teams) and the relegated team (bottom 6 teams). With not really good performance since the beginning of the season, coach Vu Tien Thanh's team has only 4 points after 8 rounds.

Coach Vu Tien Thanh believes that Ho Chi Minh City Club will successfully stay in the league.

In the 9th round of V-League 2023, Ho Chi Minh City Club will face Ha Tinh Club at 6:00 p.m. on May 27.
