Coach Le Duc Tuan announced before the second leg against Pohang Steelers of Korea: "In the previous round, Hanoi FC had a successful match when defeating Wuhan Three Towns 2-1. Continuing that spirit, we come here with confidence to achieve the best result against Pohang Steelers.
This season, we have only won 3 points. In the remaining two matches, the goal that Hanoi FC set is to surpass the achievements of previous Vietnamese teams in the AFC Champions League."
Coach Duc Tuan talked about Hanoi FC's goal when rematching Pohang Steelers: "Many people think we will give up on the AFC Champions League but that's not the case.
AFC Champions League is a big arena, we are representing Vietnamese football. Apart from cultural issues, we want to show our best level.
Hanoi FC has good human resources. The young players are also in the youth teams or the Vietnam national team. We calculate the personnel to achieve the best results.
Hanoi FC's goal is of course to win and get 3 points. But depending on the situation on the field, the team will make changes and adjustments. We will try to get at least a point against Pohang."
The match between Hanoi FC and Pohang Steelers takes place at 5:00 p.m. on November 29. In the first leg at My Dinh Stadium, the Vietnamese representative lost 2-4.
