The first large-scale anti-drug activity series was deployed in Ho Chi Minh City.

The launching ceremony of “School Tour” and “Uni Tour” - Drug-free school, organized by the City Police in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, the City Youth Union and related units on the morning of March 19, at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Ward 4, District 5).

According to Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police, students are an age group that always strives to learn and be creative, but are also easily tempted by negative factors outside of society, including drugs, especially when drugs are increasingly transforming into many sophisticated forms, easily infiltrating schools. This situation not only affects the physical and mental health of students, but also negatively impacts the learning environment and future development of younger generations.

The main causes of this situation are lack of knowledge about the harmful effects of drugs; curiosity, lack of prevention skills, easy access to drug sources and sometimes due to the environment from friends, lack of attention from family and school.

The first large-scale anti-drug activity series was deployed in Ho Chi Minh City -0 — Representatives of students, parents and teachers of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted performed the commitment ceremony to join hands in "Building a healthy lifestyle - Say no to drugs".

Therefore, “School Tour” and “Uni Tour” - Drug-free schools are important events, demonstrating the determination of the City Police along with agencies, departments, and socio-political organizations in the fight against drug abuse, while affirming the role of education in protecting the younger generation from the dangers of this social evil.

Through this program, students will be more aware of the dangers of drugs, choose a healthy lifestyle, stay away from social evils and be better prepared to protect themselves, their families and the community.

The “School Tour” program is a series of educational and propaganda activities on PCMT organized at high schools. “Uni Tour” is an extended version, for universities, colleges and higher education institutions.
