Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh presented flowers and gifts to congratulate Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day.

Presenting congratulatory flowers, praising and appreciating the efforts of generations of doctors, medical staff of the Provincial General Hospital, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that with the sense of responsibility, solidarity, dynamism, creativity and constant innovation, the Hospital will continue to overcome difficulties, strive to become stronger in all aspects, achieve many achievements in the noble cause of treating and saving people, truly worthy of the trust of the people and the whole society.
Following the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho, over the years, the staff, doctors, nurses and workers of Yen Bai General Hospital have constantly innovated and improved the quality of medical examination and treatment, meeting the health care needs of the people. Currently, the hospital has nearly 500 medical staff with 35 departments, rooms and 9 affiliated units, spacious facilities, a synchronous and modern equipment system and a team of highly qualified medical staff.
With continuous efforts, up to now, the Hospital has performed 86% of specialized techniques at the same level, 300 techniques at the Central level, the rate of patients having to be transferred to the Central level has decreased to less than 2%. The patient satisfaction rate is over 95%. The Hospital is the leading unit in the Northern mountainous provinces, achieving 4.42 quality points according to the Ministry of Health's criteria.
Many medical advances with new, modern, advanced technology from the world and the country have been successfully applied at the Hospital such as: Techniques for treating thrombosis in cerebral stroke, ventricular drainage; coronary angiography and intervention - cerebral vascular - hepatic embolization - splenic embolization on DSA machine; brain tumor surgery, endoscopic surgery to remove intracranial hematoma; endoscopic spine surgery, hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery.

The hospital is a pioneer in projects connecting with hospitals nationwide and internationally, achieving the "Diamond" standard certificate awarded by the World Stroke Association and becoming the 35th hospital in the country to deploy Electronic Medical Records, highly appreciated by the Ministry of Health, ranked 14th in storing test information instead of printing paper...
2025 is the sixth year the Hospital is given full autonomy over regular expenditures. The Hospital strengthens management, measures to increase revenue, save expenses, and apply IT in the management and use of drugs, chemicals, and administrative supplies.
The hospital always focuses on cooperation with central hospitals and international cooperation, at the same time, effectively promoting projects such as: "Comprehensive cooperation in health development between Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee and Bach Mai Hospital", Medical Support Project for the Northeastern provinces and the Red River Delta, Satellite Hospital Project, Telemedicine Project; Project "Cooperation in health between Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital and Friendship Hospital"...
With the efforts of the collective leadership, officials and employees in the entire Hospital, from 2017 to 2024, the Provincial General Hospital was awarded 7 emulation flags from the Government and the province, 1 certificate of merit from the Prime Minister, and was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President, for the period 2019 - 2023...
These achievements not only contribute significantly to the overall development of the Yen Bai health sector but also affirm the position of the Provincial General Hospital as one of the leading medical facilities in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region. This is also the motivation for the collective of medical staff, doctors and hospital staff to be determined to successfully carry out all assigned tasks, building Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital into a hospital that assumes regional functions according to the planning approved by the Prime Minister for the health facility network planning, period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050.
