At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han introduced to the delegation the natural conditions, geography, and development history of the province. At the same time, he informed about some socio-economic development results and strategic development orientations of Tra Vinh in the coming time. In particular, he shared the characteristics of the life and culture of the Khmer people in Tra Vinh, affirming that the Party and State create conditions for the Khmer people to develop their national culture.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han hopes that with these potentials and advantages, Ms. Josefine Wallat will continue to pay attention, connect, and introduce businesses and investors from the Federal Republic of Germany to Tra Vinh to survey and explore cooperation and investment opportunities. The Provincial People's Committee leaders are committed to creating all favorable conditions and applying the province's current preferential policies for businesses to explore investment in Tra Vinh.
Ms. Josefine Wallat highly appreciated the air quality and environment in Tra Vinh. Ms. Josefine Wallat emphasized that the whole world is currently facing the challenge of climate change, hoping that the leaders of Tra Vinh province will continue to maintain activities to protect trees and the environment, not trading economic development for the quality of the living environment.
At the same time, Ms. Josefine Wallat informed about the project to improve knowledge and skills to protect mental health for students being implemented in Tra Vinh. The project is implemented by Saigon Children's Charity CIO in coordination with Tra Vinh province with funding from the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to improve basic knowledge for students on: mental health, sex education, reproductive health, sexual health... contributing to improving the quality of life for women and children.

It is known that the Project has been implemented since July 2024 and has organized basic knowledge training on mental health for about 500 teachers of primary and secondary schools in Tieu Can district, organized thematic talks for students to enhance basic knowledge on mental health, sex education, reproductive health, and sexual health for 1,680 secondary school students, with a total implementation cost of over 1.13 billion VND.
In addition, in collaboration with Tra Vinh University, scholarships were awarded to 70 female students from difficult family circumstances, and basic soft skills were provided to 70 students in mental health care skills, communication skills, emotional management skills, and self-development skills.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Han thanked the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City for supporting the implementation of the Project in Tra Vinh, contributing to improving the quality of education and the quality of life of each individual and community. The Provincial People's Committee will monitor, inspect and evaluate the results of the implementation of this Project.
