When children enter summer vacation, it is also the time for youth organizations at all levels to actively participate in promoting caring activities, building a safe, healthy and beneficial living environment, helping children have fun and improve life skills.

Unstable job, 3 young children, very difficult economy, so when receiving attention from the youth union at all levels, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, Nguyen Hue village, Vu Dong commune (Thai Binh city) was very touched. She said: I rarely buy gifts for my children, so this year, on International Children's Day, when they received gifts from the youth union, the children were very happy; they also eagerly asked how their summer activities were this summer when their mother took them to school.

Nguyen Thi Hai Yen, Mai's daughter, excitedly said: I heard from young people that I can go to free swimming lessons and dance and sing in the summer. I will take my two younger siblings to watch me practice.

The International Children's Day gift for Mai and other children in the province is the beginning of a series of activities of the Youth Union and Pioneers at all levels this summer. To contribute to children and students having a joyful summer, the Youth Union and Pioneers organizations in localities are actively coordinating with educational institutions and local authorities to effectively receive, manage, and organize summer activities for children in residential areas. Previously, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee directed district and city youth unions in the whole province to organize summer activities suitable to actual conditions and situations, with activities on International Children's Day June 1 and responding to the Month of Action for Children in 2023.

This summer, the Provincial Youth Union - Provincial Youth Union Council set a target for the whole province to organize 50 free swimming classes for children.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy, Secretary of the District Youth Union, Chairman of the Hung Ha District Youth Union Council, said: This summer, especially during the month of action for children, with the theme "Joining hands to reduce harm to children", the Youth Union and Youth Union chapters at all levels in the district focus on organizing activities to promote children's participation rights. Through that, children and students can express their voices, needs and aspirations on issues that they are interested in. Along with that, organizing activities to support children and teenagers, especially targeting students in difficult circumstances. In addition, focusing on organizing activities to support students, teenagers and children in skills, especially practical social life skills and organizing physical training for them.

The summer vacation of students is also an opportunity to implement a series of activities of the summer youth volunteer campaign. Therefore, local youth union chapters, teams, and units organize activities: cultural review, gift giving, scholarships, medical examination, building playgrounds for children...

Ms. Dinh Thi Hoan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairwoman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, said: In the plan to organize summer activities for children in 2023, the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union Council set a target of supporting at least 6,900 children in difficult circumstances; organizing at least 2 summer camps and skill camps for children; 80 talent training classes, 50 free swimming classes for children; mobilizing and donating 3 mobile swimming pools and fixed swimming pools; building and donating 1 red scarf house for children in difficult circumstances...

Organizing summer activities locally not only contributes to creating a healthy playground for children but also helps families manage and direct children to meaningful and appropriate activities. The initiative and creativity in organizing summer care, management and education activities of the Youth Union and Team at all levels will help children have a useful, interesting and safe vacation.

Disadvantaged children of Vu Dong commune (Thai Binh city) received gifts from the Agribank Youth Union, Thai Binh Province Branch, City Youth Union, and Vu Dong Commune Youth Union.
