The benchmark scores for 10th grade public schools in Ho Chi Minh City were announced this afternoon (July 7) and range from 10.5 to 25.5 points for the total of 3 subjects: Math, Literature, and English.
Nguyen Thuong Hien High School has the highest score, with candidates achieving an average of 8.5 points per subject to pass. The lowest score belongs to Da Phuoc High School, Binh Khanh, Can Thanh, An Nghia, Thanh An Secondary and High School with 10.5 points, equivalent to 3.5 points per subject.
The 10th grade public exam in Ho Chi Minh City took place on June 6-7. More than two weeks ago, the Department of Education and Training announced the exam scores of nearly 96,000 candidates.
About 32% of the foreign language test scores were excellent (8 points or higher), the highest among the three basic subjects. The percentage of candidates with below average scores in foreign language was 32.3%, down from 44.8% last year.
In Literature, the highest score was 9.25. Meanwhile, in Mathematics, there were 121 exams with perfect scores. The percentage of exams with scores below average in Literature and Mathematics were 11.8% and 46%, respectively.
Nearly 110 public schools will accept about 77,300 students (80%). The rest can attend private high schools, vocational education - continuing education centers or vocational colleges. According to statistics, these places can accept about 51,000 10th grade students, mainly based on academic records.
Application submission period: From July 10 to 4:00 p.m. July 25. Admission applications submitted to high schools include: - Application form for 2023 junior high school graduation and entrance exam; Grade 10 admission score report with exam scores and 3 wishes; Junior high school transcript (original); - Temporary graduation certificate issued by educational institutions and birth certificate verified from the application for grade 10 entrance exam; submit the original diploma when issued by the Department of Education and Training; - Certificate of preferential policies (if any) issued by a competent authority. |
