TPO - The regulation of bird nest farming areas in the area aims to contribute to building a civilized, modern city with a good living environment, while ensuring disease safety, minimizing environmental pollution, increasing people's income and promoting economic development.
On the morning of September 27, at the 18th Session (special session) of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, term 2021-2026, delegates voted to approve the proposal to regulate the bird's nest farming area in Ho Chi Minh City.
The subjects of application are Vietnamese organizations and individuals and foreign organizations and individuals related to bird's nest farming activities in the city.

Can Gio district has 4 communes: An Thoi Dong, Binh Khanh, Ly Nhon and Tam Thon Hiep.
Cu Chi district has 9 communes, including An Nhon Tay, An Phu, Binh My, Hoa Phu, Nhuan Duc, Phu Hoa Dong, Phu My Hung, Thai My and Trung An.
Hoc Mon district has 6 communes, including Dong Thanh, Nhi Binh, Tan Hiep, Thoi Tam Thon, Xuan Thoi Son and Xuan Thoi Thuong.
Thu Duc City has Long Phuoc ward.
The People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the People's Committee of the city to organize the implementation of this resolution, ensuring strict management of bird nest farming areas, managing the construction and operation of bird nest houses in accordance with the provisions of the law on animal husbandry and relevant laws.
Previously, presenting a report at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong said that the regulation of bird nest farming areas aims to avoid affecting people's lives and activities and urban aesthetics.
The resolution is issued to develop policies and strategies that are suitable for the local livestock situation. At the same time, it contributes to building a civilized, modern city with a good living environment, while ensuring disease safety, minimizing environmental pollution, increasing people's income and promoting economic development.
In Ho Chi Minh City, there are more than 700 bird nest houses, most of which were built spontaneously and not registered with local authorities.
