Reporting on the activities of the BVPL Newspaper Journalists Association, Ms. Ho Thi Kim Thoan, Secretary of the Association, said that despite many difficulties, the Secretariat of the BVPL Newspaper Journalists Association has made efforts and united to well implement the leadership and direction of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association; the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the Editorial Board of BVPL Newspaper; and coordinated with organizations and unions in the unit to well complete the assigned tasks.
Comrade Phan Thi Kim Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of BVPL Newspaper spoke at the meeting.
The members have strictly followed the principles and objectives of the activities in the process of working and carrying out journalistic activities. No member has violated journalistic ethics and had to be disciplined; no member has been complained or denounced for news or articles that contain false information or reflect on causing harassment to agencies, units and businesses.
The Association has thoroughly implemented the leadership and direction of the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications and the professional and ethical guidance of the Vietnam Journalists Association; well organized the implementation of tasks according to the Charter (amended and supplemented) of the Vietnam Journalists Association.
The Association has also advised the Editorial Board, coordinated to maintain and develop professional journalism activities for members, actively contributing to the development of BVPL Newspaper in particular and Vietnamese revolutionary journalism in general.
Participating in the National Press Festival, the BVPL Journalists Association organized a booth displaying publications in the form of printed newspapers and electronic newspapers. Within the framework of the Press Festival, BVPL Newspaper was honored to receive the B Prize for the Impressive Tet Newspaper Cover Award in 2021 and 2022.
The Association regularly disseminates to its members documents of the Vietnam Journalists Association to participate in Central and local Press Awards. These include major Press Awards: National Press Award, Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, Dien Hong Award; National Press Award "Press with the work of fighting against corruption and negativity"...
In 2023 alone, the Journalists Association coordinated to select and submit 3 works of its members to the first National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Council (Dien Hong Award). As a result, Bao Ve Phap Luat Newspaper was honored to win the B Prize.
At the 17th National Press Awards - 2022, the BVPL Newspaper Journalists Association had 2 works winning the Prize. Of which, 1 work won the C prize and 1 work won the Encouragement prize...
Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Head of the inspection team, spoke at the meeting.
Speaking at the working session, comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Head of the inspection delegation, said that based on the Resolution of the 11th Congress and the Program of Activities of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, term XI; implementing the annual inspection and supervision plan of the Journalists Association organizations in 2023, the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association established a Working Group to inspect and supervise the implementation of the Association's Charter at the BVPL Newspaper Journalists Association.
According to comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, the BVPL Newspaper Journalists Association has actively participated in the activities of the Journalists Association, contributed to the Association's common activities, and demonstrated the Newspaper's responsibility to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association. Congratulating the achievements of the Association in the past time, comrade Tuan acknowledged that BVPL Newspaper has done a good job of propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; propagating the image of the Procuracy closer to the people, showing the role and functions of the Procuracy.
The work of protecting the professional rights of members is timely and quick, and is also an encouragement for reporters, especially reporters who follow internal affairs and carry out investigative stories...
Regarding the collection of party fees and the development of members, the Association has done well, in accordance with regulations. On this occasion, the Head of the inspection team, comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, also requested BVPL Newspaper to continue to properly implement and do better the development of members, creating a large number of members as well as improving the quality of members.
Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Head of the Inspection Team, also noted a number of issues such as: Deploying movements to build a cultural press agency environment, cultural journalists, implementing Plan 302 well, implementing Plan No. 156-KH/BTGTW dated June 14, 2022 of the Central Propaganda Department on strengthening the direction, management, and rectification of press, magazine, electronic information page, and social network activities in the current period; at the same time, strengthening the supervision of members participating in social networks, continuing to promote the spirit of solidarity in the Association and units.
