According to the Telegraph , Bournemouth are considering buying Kepa from Chelsea. The Spanish goalkeeper is likely to leave "The Blues" for just £5 million next summer. This is the 1-year early release clause when Kepa signed with Chelsea in the past. Previously, the 30-year-old goalkeeper extended his contract until June 2026.

Kepa is currently on loan at Bournemouth for a year. In the 2024/25 season, the Spanish goalkeeper has made 22 appearances in the Premier League and has become a mainstay of the club.

On March 17, Daily Mail reported that Chelsea will sell at least 8 players in the summer transfer window. These are names that are not in coach Enzo Maresca's plans, including Kepa.

If Kepa leaves, Chelsea will accept a heavy loss. In 2018, this goalkeeper joined Stamford Bridge for a record fee of 71 million pounds. The 30-year-old goalkeeper was expected to become one of the world's top goalkeepers. But pressure and continuous mistakes have caused Kepa to lose his starting position at Chelsea.

Bournemouth also has a plan B if they cannot buy Kepa. The team will turn to negotiate with Liverpool to welcome reserve goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to play.

Thibaut Courtois leads the list of the top 10 best goalkeepers in the world in the past 5 years with an outstanding number of goals saved.
