(Dan Tri) - The fire caused the VinaPhone telecommunications network in Tien Giang province to be interrupted, making communication impossible.
At noon on March 15, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Tien Giang Provincial Police, said that they had controlled the fire that broke out at the headquarters of Tien Giang Telecommunications (abbreviated as VNPT Tien Giang). The units are currently calculating the damage and clarifying the cause of the fire.
According to initial information, at around 0:30 a.m. the same day, a fire suddenly broke out inside the Tien Giang Telecommunications building on Le Loi Street, Ward 1, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province.

Upon receiving the news, many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Tien Giang Province Police quickly arrived at the scene to put out the fire.
However, because there are many cables and batteries in the basement of Tien Giang Telecom headquarters, the fire fighting work encountered many difficulties and was quite complicated. All fire fighting forces had to wear professional protective gear to approach the scene.
At 8:00 a.m. the same day, firefighters used a ladder truck to approach the scene from above.
Immediately after the fire broke out, Colonel Nguyen Minh Tan and Colonel Nguyen Van Loc (Deputy Director of Tien Giang Provincial Police) were present at the scene to command the fire fighting force.

The Tien Giang Provincial Police Department also directed the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to mobilize all forces and the best means to fight the fire and avoid serious damage.
Immediately after the incident, all leaders and technical staff of Tien Giang Telecom were present at the scene to urgently fix the problem and restore service. Technical teams were mobilized to ensure the fastest recovery time.
The unit has closely coordinated with relevant units and sent technical experts to support to shorten service interruption time.
The fire has been controlled, but the VinaPhone telecommunications network in Tien Giang province has lost connection and cannot be contacted.
