Báo Dân trí•01/04/2024
(Dan Tri) - The small-leafed banyan tree in Hanoi is in the season of lush green leaves. In some locations, the combination of streets with rows of trees in neat rows spreading out their green canopies creates a quite beautiful space.
On National Highway 5 (QL5) at the intersection with National Highway 1A, small-leafed banyan trees (Taiwanese banyan) are planted in large numbers, quite thickly, on the median strip and on the roads leading to the intersection. The density is high, each tree is only 3-4m apart, the leaves intertwine with the grass below to create a cool green space. The median strip between lanes of National Highway 5 is planted with small-leafed almond trees in Thach Ban ward (Long Bien). This is the most important and modern intersection at the eastern gateway of Hanoi. A stretch of road like going through a forest of small-leafed banyan trees. The tree has a tiered canopy like the Banyan tree, but the leaves are smaller and thinner. The photo shows a row of trees on the median strip of National Highway 5. The tree trunk has a common diameter of about 15cm, from 8m to 10m high. Thanh Tri - National Highway 5 intersection is the traffic system most known to people as a virtual living spot with a nature theme. In about 1-2 weeks, the leaves will turn yellow. This is the time when the roads planted with small-leafed banyan trees bring a visual feeling like in the West. The tree has a beautiful, compact canopy, short branches, growing in an upward direction to create a moderate canopy, does not take up much space, suitable in conditions of increasingly narrowing space. The small-leafed banyan has small fruits and small leaves, so when it falls, it causes less pollution than the banyan tree. The tree is suitable for urban areas because of its beautiful shape, fast growth, resistance to harsh conditions and suitable for planting in many terrains. Currently, small-leafed almond trees are being planted a lot on the streets of Hanoi. In the picture is the Ring Road 2 section with rows of green trees. On the beltway 2, small-leafed banyan trees are planted a lot on Lang and Buoi roads. Rows of trees on Lang Street. On the road along the To Lich River, every time the leaves turn yellow, this location becomes the focal point for young people to come and take photos.
