On the afternoon of June 2, coach Philippe Troussier announced the list of 25 names called up to the Vietnam U23 team on the occasion of FIFA Day in June.
An Khanh was called up to join the U23 Vietnam team.
Notably, among these is the appearance of overseas Vietnamese player Nguyen An Khanh.
An Khanh is only 18 years old this year, currently playing for U19 Sigma Olomouc of the Czech Republic and was personally proposed by coach Philippe Troussier to be called up.
This player plays well in the central midfielder position and has a tendency to play attacking football. In addition, An Khanh can also play as a left winger and striker.
The Vietnamese-American star is playing impressively for U19 Sigma Olomouc and has been promoted to the club's B team playing in the Czech First Division many times.
It is worth mentioning that this season, An Khanh has scored 7 goals and had 20 assists for his teammates, which is a very impressive number for a young player.
Currently, the star born in 2005 is also a member of the Czech Republic U18 team.
An Khanh was born in 2005 in Trinec (Czech Republic), his father is from Do Luong (Nghe An), his mother is from Hanoi.
An Khanh inherited his passion for football from his father Nguyen Duc Hy and started training at Trinec's training center at the age of 13.
Returning to the U23 Vietnam squad list, Coach Troussier called up many new faces such as: Nguyen Van Viet, Nguyen Duc Anh, Hoang Van Toan and Vo Nguyen Hoang.
Meanwhile, two stars Le Van Do and Nguyen Thanh Nhan are both absent due to injury.
According to plan, U23 Vietnam will start gathering from June 5 in Hanoi.
During this time, Coach Troussier and his team will have two matches with Hanoi Police Club (June 14) and Hai Phong (June 17).
