Unlike the last gathering (early June), the U.19 Vietnam team has more experienced players in this gathering. The team has been reinforced by some highly regarded players such as goalkeeper Cao Van Binh (SLNA), defender Nguyen Manh Hung (Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc), Nguyen Luong Tuan Khai (Hue), midfielder Vi Dinh Thuong, Nguyen Huu Tuan (Hue), Thai Ba Dat (PVF), Nguyen Trong Tuan (Bac Ninh), striker Nguyen Anh Tuan (Phu Tho),... These players missed the previous gathering because they were busy playing for their home clubs in domestic tournaments.
In addition, a notable "strange bird" also appeared on the list of coach Hua Hien Vinh, that is Vietnamese-American midfielder Ho Huu Hung. This young player is currently playing for CU Bohemians Praha in the Czech Republic national championship, and has participated in the U.15 and U16 Czech Republic teams.
Vietnam U.19 under the leadership of coach Hua Hien Vinh just experienced a useful international U.19 friendly tournament in China.
It is known that Ho Huu Hung was born in 2006, holding both Vietnamese and Czech citizenship. This player has spent 13 years training and playing football in the Czech Republic. Before playing for CU Bohemians Praha, Ho Huu Hung played for FC Slovacko (from 2011 to 2016) and SK Slavia Praha (from 2016 to 2018). Ho Huu Hung's best positions are attacking midfielder and winger.
According to the plan, the Vietnam U.19 team will be stationed and trained at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi). On July 16, the team will leave for Indonesia to participate in the 2024 Southeast Asian U.19 Championship, with an official list of 23 players.
