Barriers of the Vietnamese midfielder who used to play for the Czech Republic U18

VTC NewsVTC News15/03/2025

U22 Vietnam will call up two overseas Vietnamese players Andrej Nguyen An Khanh and Viktor Le in March 2025. Coach Kim Sang-sik hopes that their presence will bring a new wind, helping U22 Vietnam become stronger.

Viktor Le has a certain advantage thanks to 2 consecutive years of playing in V.League. He shows maturity and adaptability to the conditions of Vietnamese football. Meanwhile, Andrej Nguyen An Khanh has a more impressive starting point when developing his expertise in Europe, having been called up to the Czech Republic U18 team.

The call-up of these two players not only helps U22 Vietnam have more quality players but also shows the openness in the team's policy of using talent. Fans are waiting for their performance in the national youth team.

Andrej An Khanh is the hope of U22 Vietnam.

Overall, the biggest problem with Andrej Nguyen An Khanh is still the story of physique and fitness. Unlike many overseas Vietnamese players returning to the country, An Khanh can still speak his mother tongue. His professional level and football thinking are highly appreciated. Coaches all believe that this is the type of player that U22 Vietnam is lacking.

However, An Khanh's strength is inferior to many of his domestic teammates. Of course, this weakness has been significantly overcome by the midfielder born in 2005 compared to his previous return to his homeland. But through the match between U22 Vietnam and U19 PVF, An Khanh needs to make more efforts.

Andrej Nguyen An Khanh was born on March 15, 2005 in Trinec, Czech Republic, to a family with both parents being Vietnamese. Nguyen An Khanh's father is Mr. Nguyen Duc Hy, from Do Luong, Nghe An. His mother is Phan Thi Thanh Tan, from Hanoi. Mr. Hy and Mrs. Tan's family immigrated to Europe in the 1990s of the last century.

Coach Troussier personally introduced him to the country in 2023. However, at the age of 18, it is not easy for him to surpass his colleagues with more professional experience. This time, An Khanh is expected to help U22 Vietnam achieve good results and aim for the 33rd SEA Games.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his players are still in the process of building the squad and establishing a playing style for two important tournaments. In the near future, U22 Vietnam will go to China to participate in the CFA Team China 2025 training tournament taking place from March 20 to March 25. U22 Vietnam will meet Korea (March 20), China (March 23) and Uzbekistan (March 25).
