On February 5, Quang Ngai Provincial Police said that a part-time commune police officer in Nghia Dong Commune (Quang Ngai City) jumped into a pond to save a boy who unfortunately drowned.

Swimming to find drowning boy

Accordingly, at around 3:00 p.m. on February 4, while walking on the road, Mr. Vo Toan (a part-time police officer, Nghia Dong Commune Police) heard people shouting that a boy was drowning in a nearby pond. Mr. Toan immediately jumped into the pond to save the person.

Mr. Vo Toan is giving first aid to a drowning boy.

When bringing the boy to shore, Mr. Toan noticed that he was cyanotic and in critical condition, so he performed CPR on the spot. Afterwards, Mr. Toan and the locals took the boy to Quang Ngai General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Speaking to Thanh Nien reporter, the leader of Nghia Dong commune People's Committee said that the child named NHP (12 years old, residing in village 4, Nghia Dong commune), while playing with friends, unfortunately slipped and fell into a nearby pond. P. is being actively monitored by doctors at Quang Ngai General Hospital.
