On the morning of May 18, at Dong Doi Shooting Range, Army Officer School 1, the General Staff, the Coast Guard Command organized a live-fire test of AK submachine guns, lesson 1, for professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the Coast Guard Command. Colonel Dao Anh Tu, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Coast Guard attended and monitored the test.
The inspection aims to evaluate the training level of officers, check the level of weapon use, and the key points of hitting hidden targets in the daytime with AK submachine guns of professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers. This is the basis for drawing experience and improving the quality of training in the coming time.
Due to the full and comprehensive preparation of the training content and close coordination with the participating forces to ensure safety, the organization and command of the shooting were serious and effective, in accordance with the conditions of the shooting exercise according to the infantry combat technique test curriculum. As a result, 100% of the comrades fired the required ammunition, and the unit ensured the safety of people and weapons.
During the inspection, each individual demonstrated a high sense of discipline, a strong mentality, a firm grasp of basic techniques and shooting rules; and strictly followed discipline and safety regulations in live-fire practice.

Coast Guard trains in information technology in 2023
On the morning of May 17, the Coast Guard Command held a conference on information technology training in 2023. The conference was held in a combination of in-person and online formats at 12 locations throughout the force.

The Vietnam Coast Guard Training and Professional Development Center has been focusing on innovating the content and training program in the direction of reducing theory and increasing practice time to improve the capacity of exploiting and preserving weapons, equipment, and professional handling skills for students; ensuring that it is close to the training goals and requirements of each major and the reality of the unit.
