The Command of Coast Guard Region 4 has just organized a legal knowledge dissemination course for more than 2,000 officers, teachers and students in Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang).
To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day (December 22), on December 15, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 coordinated with the Propaganda Department of Phu Quoc City Party Committee to organize propaganda for cadres, teachers and students at An Thoi 2 Primary and Secondary School.
Attending the propaganda session were Colonel Nguyen Thai Duong, Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 4; Mr. Phan Chien Thang, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Propaganda Department of Phu Quoc City Party Committee.

At the event, more than 2,000 cadres, teachers and students of An Thoi 2 Primary and Secondary School were informed about the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard and drug prevention and control at school.
The activity aims to help school staff, teachers and students better understand the position, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Coast Guard. Enhance self-prevention skills and raise awareness in the fight against drugs for students.

Ms. Le Thi Hai Yen, Principal of An Thoi 2 Primary and Secondary School, expressed her gratitude for the attention of the Party Committee and the Head of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command for the school with practical and meaningful gifts, both material and spiritual.

According to Ms. Yen, the propaganda session helped teachers and students better understand the functions and tasks and sympathize and share the hardships that the Coast Guard force is facing day and night to keep the peace and safety of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

The useful knowledge at the propaganda session will be an important asset to help students foster their love for their homeland’s sea and islands; as well as continue to practice and develop a healthy lifestyle, raising awareness of drug prevention for them, Ms. Yen shared.
On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 donated a 70-inch TV to the school to support teaching and 20 scholarships for students who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.
