This year, the Ministry of Education and Training will have two detailed exam schedules for 12th graders taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program and students taking the exam under the 2006 program.
Specifically, the exam schedule for candidates taking the exam with the 2006 General Education Program exam is as follows:

With the new exam schedule, each candidate will only take 3 exams, including one Literature exam, one Math exam, and one exam of two elective subjects. Compared to previous years, candidates will have one less exam session, reducing the pressure of studying as well as the cost of organizing the exam for localities.
The Ministry of Education and Training requires localities to arrange a number of exam sites for candidates based on the number of candidates registering for the exam. When organizing the exam, it is necessary to pay attention to some contents such as: Candidates can register for the exam, register for graduation recognition directly or online.
The 2025 High School Graduation Exam is the first year of taking the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. With more than 1 million candidates taking the exam according to the new program, and at the same time, there will be candidates who have not graduated from high school in 2024 registering to take the exam, the Ministry of Education and Training is developing 2 types of exam questions.
Accordingly, this year's 12th grade students will take 4 subjects, including 2 compulsory subjects and 2 elective subjects.
In order to ensure the rights and convenience of candidates during the transition period between the two programs, candidates who have completed the General Education Program before 2025 but have not graduated will take the exam according to the exam questions of the 2006 General Education Program.
